From our last fitness blog, the music survey showed that hip hop was the most genre listened to. So why not do these exercises with some hip hop songs?!
The first exercise is to go for a jog! (10 mins) It is not just a GREAT cardio workout, it...
- Gives yourself time and space from everything else
- Allows you to be outside and take in some vitamin D
- Can be done anywhere, even if you're not home
(1 min) The second exercise will the the mountain climb twist. This works on your core, by bring in the left knee towards your right elbow, then repeat with opposite side. Then rest for 15 secs.
If this workout is too hard, try doing it without the twist and pull your leg straight the your chest
(1 min) The third exercise is plant jacks. With your cores tight, jump with your feet out then back together. Then rest for 15 secs.
(2 min) Next is the plank. This is a very common exercise working on the core. If you cannot stay up for a min, take short breaks in between. Then rest for 15 secs.
(1 min) This one is squat jump. Everyone wants a booty! Squat, then jump up straightening your legs then coming back down to a squat position. Rest for 15 secs.
(1 min) Last is the classic burpee. The move we all love to hate!
Make sure to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated :)
