About Us!
We are a group of students from Macquarie University and have created this blog as part of our assessment tasks undertaken in the subject ISYS100 IT and Society. As our first blog post, we thought we'd provide a brief introduction of the members of this group that will be making the posts over the next few weeks along with the the topic they will be covering.
Member: James
Degree: Bachelor of Information Technology
Major: Information Systems & Business Analysis
About: In this blog James will be covering some common basic topics on first aid that one may be faced with in an everyday situation as a student. Easy to follow instructions and descriptions will be provided and the skills can be learnt by most people very quickly. The first topic being covered will be on the DRSABCD Action Plan. James works as a First Responder for St John Ambulance Australia (NSW) in his spare time and has a great passion for first aid volunteering. It should be noted that the first aid blog posts should not be used as a substitute for a medical professional's advice.
Member: Kaixin
Degree: Bachelor of Marketing and Media
Major: N/A
About: Kaixin is currently in the second year of her studies at university. Working part time herself, she understands that many students, struggle with pressure, deadlines, ability to juggle part-time or casual work with studies, other extra-curricular and social commitments. She will be bringing you blog posts about the importance of mental and emotional health and wellbeing. Kaixin believes that it is important to be aware and know how to manage one's mental and emotional health. Her blog posts will involve explaining what it means to be mentally and emotionally healthy, and managing one's mental and emotional wellbeing through a variety of ways.

Major: Accounting
About: Keanu's section in this blog will be covering some healthy food hacks and ideas that students can enjoy without breaking the wallet. These food hacks will be easy and quick to follow as us students usually lack experience and time to make proper meals. As a person who loves to eat, these healthy food hacks will definitely be tasty and enjoyable to eat.
Member: Amy
Degree: Bachelor of Science - Psychology
Major: N/A
About: This blog will include some basic to advanced fitness exercises and tips to relieve stress, tension, worry or panic. Amy will be presenting different types of active movement to target a healthy body and mind as well as fashionable active wear. Workouts are easier with music, so Amy has put together a great playlist to hype up the atmosphere while doing her workouts with you. Amy's exercises can be done anywhere including the gym, the park and also in your own bedroom.
Each member will be posting at least once a week on their individual topic. Please feel free to comment and provide feedback on each of the posts. Later on we will be making a group vlog featuring some of the tips and advice we've written about so your feedback will definitely help in choosing which ones to include in the video.
